The North Shore of Kaua`i is renowned for its golf courses. The Prince and Makai Course, both at Princeville Resort, are worldclass. Golf Digest rates the Prince Course as the number- one course in Hawai`i. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr, it will challenge you, push you and lead you to question why you took up golf in the first place. You’ll head uphill, downhill, and negotiate tradewinds. On the upside, the views are phenomenal. There are five sets of tees on every hole, and from each one you can see the ocean. This is an 18-hole par-72 course. Once you’re through with your round, you can stop by the Princeville Resort Clubhouse, which houses the Princeville Restaurant and Bar and Princeville Health Club. The Makai Course was also designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and consists of three separate par-36 nine-hole courses, Ocean, Woods, and Lakes, each starting and ending at the clubhouse. All three provide you with challenge and variety. Several tees at each hole allow you to shoot from the one that best suits your skill level. For tee times, call 800-826-1105 or 808-826- 5070. Green fees start at $85 for nine holes and go up to $175
for 18 holes.

After your round of golf, stop by the snack shop where you can get burgers, snacks and drinks.
