Good snorkel spots are limited on this side of the island. The best spot by far is Lydgate State Park. The man-made lava pools can help boost the confidence of any novice snorkeler. Of the two lava pools, stay in the larger area. This is a deeper area and large enough so you don’t feel too crowded.
