Tennis courts are abundant on the east side of the island. You’ll find courts at most resorts and condominiums. There are also a few public courts that are first-come, first-served.

There are two lighted courts at Kapa`a New Park. They’re on Olohena Road in Kapa`a. Take Kuhio Highway north to Kapa`a Town and turn left at the traffic light onto Olohena Road. The courts are a quarter-mile down on the right.

Wailua Homesteads Park has two lighted courts. You’ll find them on Kamalu Road inWailua. Heading north, just past the Wailua Bridge at the traffic signal, take a left off of Kuhio Highway onto Kuamoo Road. Travel up about three miles and turn right onto Kamalu Road. The courts are a half-mile farther on right side.

Finally, Wailua Houselots Park has two lighted courts, on Nonou Road, Wailua. Heading north, take a left off of Kuhio Highway onto Heleilio Road; a quarter-mile toward the mountain, take the left fork onto Nonou Road. The courts are about a half-mile farther on the right side.
