Aloha Canoes & Kayaks, 808-246-6804, shows you how to paddle a Hawaiian double hull canoe. You paddle around Kalapaki Bay, Nawiliwili Bay, Niumalu Bay and the Hulei’a River. The guides will give you a bit of a history lesson as well on the legends and myths of Kaua`i. The tours are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The 1½-hour tour is $60 per person. There’s also a longer 3½-hour tour that includes some hiking and swimming for $82 per person. This one goes up the Huleia River, where you see the Menehune Fishpond, and to Kipu Ranch. A deli lunch is included.
